Nemesia is a wonderful annual Native to South Africa that produces small clusters of lipped red flowers.
It is intolerant of heat and humidity an is best used as a cool season annual is hot, humid climates, or as a summer annual in cooler climates. It prefers a consistently moist, rich soil and lots of sun.
This flower is very versatile, and makes an excellent addition to any border, bed, or container, makes a good bulb cover in the right climate, and even does well in rock gardens.
Flowers can be cut back to promote bushiness of the plant, and make excellent cut flowers as well. If given enough sunlight and the proper night time temperatures Nemesia can be grown as a house plant as well.
