Musa ensete is commonly called Abyssinian banana. It can be grown easily indoors. But grown outside in warm climate zones (10 and above) and planted around water features and as a specimen plant, this lush foliage plant adds a tropical look to the garden. In cooler zones can be grown in containers and overwinter it indoors.
Banan tree grows with tropical speed up to m as indoor plant. Leaves can be up to 0,60 - 1 m long.
The leaves are formed like fans, the trunk is strong.
Needs a fertile humus soil. Fertilise continuously. Grow outdoors in summer.

Seeds can be sown all year long.
Scarify seeds with a nail file. It simplifies teh germination process.
After sowing, cover teh seed 1-2 cm with soil and always keep moist, cover with glass or clear plastic.
