According to ancient traditions, eating it will bring you good luck. The oil extracted from the seeds was considered to be an aphrodisiac. Since it also tastes good, it seems like everyone might want to grow this talented green.
Eruca Sativa herb plants are very low in calories (only about 2 calories per 1/2 cup) and very high in Vitamins A, C and K.
To store rocket rinse the leaves in cool water and dry on paper toweling. Wrap leaves tightly in plastic or a zip lock bag. Best if used within two days.
Grow in full sun. If grown in summer, provide shade from midday sun.
Moisture: appreciates regular watering.

Can be sown all year round and grown inside in the bright place. Keep moist.
If sown outside:
1. Sow from March to August in prepared seed bed thinly in rows 25 cm apart.
2. Cover with 0,5 cm of fine soil. Firm gently, keep moist.
3. Germinates in 7-14 days.
4. For continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks.
Do not allow the plants to dry out - it will prevent them running to seed prematurely.
Harvest from May to October. Take a few leaves from each plant, they will regrow quickly, or pick whole mature plants.
Will self seed in the garden if allowed.
