About the product
Clump-forming, Erect, Bright, showy double and semi-double 6-8 cm flowers on easy to grow well-branched, 30-35 cm tall plants.
Figaro dahlias bloom from early summer until frost and are excellent in beds, borders or containers.
A perennial in warm areas, it is often grown as a half hardy annual in temperate areas.
Sometimes known as 'Amore' or 'Rigoletto Improved'.
Flowers 12 weeks from sowing. A formula mix of flowers in Apricot, White, Red, Pink, Pale-yellow, Mauve in Summer; Red, Pink, Pale-yellow, Mauve, Apricot, White in Autumn.
The Figaro Series is the best performing dahlia for large-scale landscape planting.
An easily grown plant so long as the soil does not dry out.
It requires a deep rich soil and a sunny position, disliking shade.
The growing plant is very frost-tender, though the tubers are somewhat hardier tolerating temperatures down to about -5C. However, these tubers are not reliably hardy if left in the ground over winter in Britain. They are best harvested after the foliage is killed off by frost and then stored in a cool but frost-free place over the winter, planting out in April/May.
