SOLD OUT Canterbury Bells (Campanula Medium Cup&Saucer Mix) 600 seeds (#1378)

Popular traditional cottage garden plant.
Campanula medium, commonly called Canterbury bells, is a biennial flower that originates from western Europe.
In late spring to early summer, clumps of medium green basal foliage put forth tall leafy stems lined with large cup-shaped bells of blue, purple, white, or pink. Likewise, the distinctive flowers of the popular variety calycanthema look like floral cups sitting on broad petaled saucers.
Once flowers are spent, plants will not rebloom.
Protection against frost in harsh climatic conditions promotes a better growth in spring. Flower stems may need support especially in more exposed locations.
Canterbury bells prefer sites with full to part sun and fertile, well drained soil. Lovely and old-fashioned, they are well-suited to perennial borders and cottage gardens.
