Whitebarked Himalayan birch is a pyramidal, deciduous tree native from the Himalayas into southern China. Best known for its striking chalk-white bark, which provides year-round interest, it also features dark green leaves which turn yellow in fall.
Himalayan birch prefers full sun or light shade and reasonably fertile, well-drained soil. It works well as a specimen plant or in small groupings.

GERMINATION INSTRUCTIONS
Seeds can be sown directly on the surface of clean and moist soil. Press seeds lightly to have a good contact with the moist soil.
Cover with clear plastic or glass and keep at +18-+22C in bright place. Spray with the water periodically just to keep the surface moist all the time.
Germination in 10-15 days.
Seeds can also be stratified for a couple of weeks, but it is not necessary.
