Sow the seeds on the wet surface from January to March into bowls or seed boxes with seed compost.
Sow thinly, do not cover the seed with compost. Firm gently and keep moist.
Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid.
Keep at +20-25C. Using additional light will accelerate germination and improve the quality of the seedlings.
Normal germination time - 14-28 days.
Propagation from seed can be difficult due to the small size of the seed. Seed should not be sown directly in the garden.
